Topic: How can the revitalization of historically shaped places in a city promote integration?
To answer the question, the opportunities and potentials of architecture for social change and integration processes are examined and five integrative strategies of architecture are identified. Different references for community buildings are examined with regard to these strategies: urban integration, participation, heterogeneity and hybridity, public space, and building with existing structures.
